How to know your hair type to choose the right care products?
Knowing your hair type is essential to choosing the right hair care products. Hair is much more than just an aesthetic component. It's a reflection of our overall health, lifestyle habits and emotional well-being.
First , observe how long your hair stays clean . If your hair quickly becomes greasy, you probably have high sebum production, which logically indicates greasy hair. If your hair stays clean for a while, but is not excessively dry, you have normal hair. Dry hair can quickly become rough.
Next, consider the texture of your hair: straight, fine, thick, soft, wavy, curly, frizzy. Take a strand of hair between your fingers. If it is thin and difficult to feel, you have fine hair. If it's perceptible, but not strong, you have medium hair. Thick hair is robust. This tip can help you move towards a suitable hair routine since textured hair (wavy, curly, frizzy) generally needs intense nourishing products. The Shea butter range is highly recommended for this type of hair.
The density of your hair is also a valuable indicator since it can point you in the direction of an anti-hair loss treatment, if you find your scalp sparse. Age, hormones or genetics can cause hair loss in both men and women. Dietary supplements can help you regain volume and mass.
Finally, assess your scalp's reaction to hair care products. A normal scalp tolerates products well, while a dry scalp can be dry and irritated. An oily scalp can become greasy quickly, and a sensitive scalp can react easily to products. In case of sensitized scalp, use the gentle PH5 shampoo formulated for this condition and the whole family.
By understanding these characteristics, you'll be able to determine your hair type more accurately. Don't forget that hair can change over time, so it's worth regularly reassessing your hair type to adjust your care routine accordingly, and trust Topicrem to help you maintain healthy hair!
